DA-Group has appointed Mr Kristian Tornivaara as the Chief Business Development Officer for the defense sector. Kristian has been working as the CEO at Surma Ltd, a navy combat survivability solutions company. DA-Group recently acquired Surma and it is now part of DA-Group. Kristian will also continue as the CEO of Surma.

Kristian has been working in various responsible positions in the maritime sector for over 20 years, from which the latest 12 years working with navy combat survivability management solutions. He is also a board member of AFDA, the Association of Finnish Defense and Aerospace Industries.

As the CBDO Kristian will be responsible for DA-Group’s business development, international partnerships, marketing and public relations in the defense sector.

At DA-Group, Mr Sami Kotiniemi is the CEO, Mr Juuso Kaitalo continues as the Business Director of Defense and Security, and Mr Kimmo Ylander directs DA-Group's business development.
